PD Dr. habil. Arndt Remhof

Arndt is a group leader at Empa (Switzerland) in the Laboratory for Energy Conversion, where his current research focuses on the development of novel ionic conductors for use in all solid-state batteries. He studied physics at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany, and at the University of Kent in Canterbury, UK. He received his diploma from the Institut Laue-Langevin in Grenoble, France, and his Ph.D. from the Ruhr-University of Bochum, Germany. He has published more than 150 papers, organized several conferences, and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Paul Scherrer Institute (Switzerland). Since 2016, he has been a lecturer at the University of Freiburg, Germany, where he received his Venia Legendi in 2019. Arndt Remhof joined the GER on April 1 during a six-month sabbatical leave from Empa.
