Johannes joined the GER in June 2023 as a doctoral student. Before coming to Berlin, he studied materials science at RWTH Aachen University both for the B.Sc. and the M.Sc. He picked up international experience during an ERASMUS+ semester at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). During his master's studies, Johannes focused on energy materials. Most notably, during his master's thesis, he worked on materials for Fe-air batteries.
