Naiyu joined the GER in May 2023 as a doctoral student. Before coming to Berlin, he earned his B.Sc. degree in polymer materials and engineering from Jilin University (China) and M.Sc. in materials science and simulation from Ruhr University Bochum (RUB). He worked as a HiWi in the atomic-scale characterization group at RUB for two years. He finished his master thesis at Forschungszentrum Juelich supervised by Prof. Wolfgang Schuhmann and Dr. Carsten Korte. He also had an international internship at Hanyan University (Korea). He has experience in multiple branches of energy materials such as fuel cells, perovskites, and electrocatalysts.
